i have played baseball for 8 years so swinging is not something i am unfamiliar with. I have been in the ranges a couple times, but basically never played.i can hit a driver 290-320 yds. and a 7 iron at 175 yrds.accurate 50% for the driver and 80% for the iron. when i go to the ranges they always tell me i should play, because it looks like i have talent. Do you think it is possible, if i practice a lot, or is it too late.

Golf is one sport where you can always become a pro, regardless of your age. It’s going to take dedication and practice, but it isn’t to late. I’ve been playing for about 2 years now im a freshman in college, i love the game but im to inconsistent. I have never given up on my goal of one day becoming a professional since i know it is possible. You just have to continue to practice and play practice rounds. Im not sure if your golf season at your school is over, if it is just practice and maybe try to walk onto a team in college.

I have a partime job working 15-20 hours a week. I play two sports, tennis and golf, I played basketball before but I am not good enough to play anymore. From those sports no one ever really talks to me. Being in any groups or organizations in my high school isn’t very cool. Once you are in high school people judge you on the way you look and act and form cliques and I was in one and they decided they didnt like me anymore and kicked me out. I am a friendly guy who likes watching sports, playing video games, going on the computer, going to movies, listening to any kind of music, I dress in casual clothes, nothing out of the ordinary to almost anyone. The only thing not normal about me is I am a 6 foot 1, 140lbs, very skinny. I try and eat and the food goes nowhere. I have decent looks, decent interests, and an okay personality and I dont know why people don’t want to be my friend. I understand high school is supposed to be fun and the best time of your life but it really can’t when you dont have any friends. How can I make friends?

1. Ask people about themselves. They love talking about themselves. Keep the conversation light.

2. Do nice things for them but don’t expect anything in return. Hold open doors for girls, help people with learning sports (if that is what you are good at), or anything that helps others in any way.

3. Pretend like your life is wonderful, that you are the most popular kid in school. This sends a subliminal message to others that you are at peace with yourself, and that you like yourself.

4. Find, and talk about, things that others have in common with you. Then, plan things to do that are based on these things.

I hate golf. I’ve been on swim team all my life, I love rock climbing, riding on the bike, doing trick on my rolller blades on the ramps. I love to play football and baseball. I used to do gymnastics, but I never got a good level.

When I see golf, I just find it STUPID. I think it should be great for senior citizens, but I could never understand why would young people play it.
There’s a lot of golf on TV, WHY????
I can’t understand why would anyone play. much less watch it?

Who watches all this golf coverage?

Ok so I am looking for a good golf ball with spin on it, so that the ball will stay in its position instead of rolling all over the place. The ball will be used for a senior golfer so it can’t be a serious hard core ball. Soft but yet has some good spin on it. I was looking at the Titleist NXT Tour and the HVC Tour, but if you know of a good ball I would like to know what you have. Thank you!

yeah the softer the ball the more spin you can put on it. Titleist Pro V1 would be best but expensive. I think that NXT is a good ball, and others in that price range i would suggest are Nike ONE Vapor, or maybe TaylorMade Burner. Other more expensive balls would be Nike ONE Tour, Callaway Tour ix, or TaylorMade TP. Hope this helps!!!

I picked up the game of golf my freshman year of high school. Playing as a medalist I shot a 128 and a 126 in our district tournament. Now four years later in my senior year of high school I shot a 88 and an 86 in district. And just about a moth later I am now shooting low 80′s/ high 70′s.

Just wanted to see what other golfers opinions might be.

Duke University has won several NCAA championships in the ladies divisions. Since this is the only school I followed due to a CT girl being their star, I must say Duke.
